A copy of a posting that explains the war with Iraq.

I do not normally copy and paste other people's postings. The one below has appeared on another thread and is certainly worth bringing to the attention of those that still use this thread. It explains the war with Iraq very well. Subject - OIL WARS: Afghanistan. IRAQ. Syria. Iran. Saudi Arabia ... Author name - oilwar Date - 19-6-2003 OIL WARS: Afghanistan. IRAQ. Syria. Iran. Saudi Arabia ... http://www.thedebate.org/ As the list of oil countries attacked by America & robbed of their oil grows, we must ask: How much more oil do they want, how much of our taxes will they spend on oilwars and how many of our boys will they send to their deaths in their wars for oil? Here is how they attacked Iraq and robbed them of oil: 1) The US oilgovernment tricked people into supporting war using terror-tactics. Iraq was incapable of attacking the West. They had no links to terrorism. 2) They attacked Iraq - using taxpayers' money. 3) The US oilgovernment siezed control of Iraq's oil, including the sale of that oil: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/3012609.stm America has now proposed that "... Britain and the United States - known as The Authority - would decide how income from the sale of Iraqi oil would be spent." 4) They are going to spend the sale proceeds on "reconstruction" - meaning that American oil companies like Halliburton will get the money: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3006149.stm These are the companies that funded the Bush admininistration and its personnel into power. These are the companies that provide many of the personnel in the Bush administration: http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/world/americas/newsid_1138000/1138009.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/world/americas/newsid_1306000/1306777.stm These corrupt oilmen will make $billions from Iraq's oil, from oil-industry-related contracts - and even more by manipulating global oil markets, using their new control over the world's second largest supply in Iraq. It is nothing but armed robbery on a gigantic scale. Iraq is the world's second most important oil country. Iraq was invaded by a country governed almost exclusively by oil executives and ex-oil executives. Oil-industry contracts in Iraq are being awarded to companies linked to the Bush administration. These are people who have close links to the oil industry and therefore stand to gain when the oil industry gains. They are shareholders, friends of shareholders and family of shareholders. Already Vice president Dick Cheney's former company has been given major contracts in Iraq, without tender. The U.S. oilgovernment promised to hold the oil in trust for the Iraqi people. But now they have taken control of it themselves. They are selling Iraq' oil and spending the proceeds on the companies that funded them into power and supplied their top people. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3006149.stm "Halliburton's role expands." "The company formerly run by US vice president Dick Cheney is to operate Iraqi oil fields, new documents reveal." (Cheney is under investigation for corporate fraud in relation to his dealings at halliburton!) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/2119981.stm Oil & The Bush Cabinet: http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/world/americas/newsid_1138000/1138009.stm Bush & Big Business: http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/world/americas/newsid_1306000/1306777.stm "Let's look at it simply. The most important difference between North Korea and Iraq is that economically, we just had no choice in Iraq. The country swims on a sea of oil." (U.S. Deputy Defence Secretary - after the Iraq War). They tried to cover that up. But they cannot change the face that before the war: "in the vision endorsed by Mr Wolfowitz, a transformed Iraq would (not only) help secure oil supplies and reduce the threat to Israel." (U.S. Deputy Defence Secretary - before the Iraq War). http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/2539443.stm The Iraq attacks were plainly and simply a gigantic armed robbery. Bush, Blair and their corporate bosses must go to jail for their crimes! Afghanistan, Iraq... Next Syria, Iran and other oil countries could face attacks and robbery. Why does the Iraq argument continue when the US government has admitted the truth? It was always about oil and Israel, not WMD. Why does the British govenment refuse a public enquiry into the intelligence that supposedly justified attacking Iraq? What have they got to hide? WAR IS INCREASING TERROR! "Mr Rumsfeld acknowledged that Iraq may have destroyed all its chemical munitions and weapons of mass destruction before the US-led invasion..." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/2940580.stm The "war on terror" has made the world a more dangerous place and created divisions which make conflict more likely: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/2943192.stm The war on terror was never about terror. It was always about oil. When America attacked Iraq and siezed their oilfields there were no weapons capable of threatening America, Europe, or even Israel. American attacks decimated Iraq's civillian infrastructure. They guarded the oil while unguarded schools and hospitals were looted. These "liberated" people are left largely without food and water. They are living in squalor and deprivation, thanks to the illegal, unjustified war that has "liberated" their oil for corporate America. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/2929411.stm (Iraq War: unanswered questions, lies and disinformation) AFGHANISTAN OIL PIPELINE WAR: Iraq was not the first country to be attacked for oil by the U.S. oil cabal. It will not be the last either. Afghanistan was attacked and occupied for oil too. Where is Osama bin Laden? Why occupy a country just to catch (or not to catch) members of a terrorist group? "The leaders of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkmenistan have agreed to construct a $2bn pipeline to bring gas from Central Asia to the sub-continent." (Hamed Karzai, the new US-installed puppet Afghanistan premier is a former executive of US oil company Unocal!) "The project was abandoned in 1998 when a consortium led by US energy company Unocal withdrew from the project over fears of being seen to support Afghanistan's then Taliban..." SOURCE, BBC NEWS: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/2017044.stm Hamid Karzai, the new Afghanistan premier, used to work for U.S. oil company Unocal! WHICH OIL COUNTRY NEXT? First AFHGANISTAN, then IRAQ. Next SYRIA, IRAN, SAUDI ARABIA and other oilcountries could also be set attacks and the theft of their oil. http://www.thedebate.org/thedebate/who_next.asp Why was the Iraq war called part of the "war on terror"? Iraq had no links to terror. Even if they did have WMD they had no weapons that could reach outside their own borders. It clearly should have been called the "armed robbery of oil". No weapons. No links to September 11. Only oil. http://www.thedebate.org/
