Alexander Selin was born in 1960 in Volzhsk, a small town on the Volga. He initially trained as a physicist, but after eight years, decided to become a writer. He has published two collections of short stories, including The New Romantic, and a novel Videountermenschen. He also writes scripts for film, television and radio.
