John le Carré

John le Carré is an English novelist. He was born in 1931, educated at the universities of Berne and Oxford, taught at Eton and spent five years in the British foreign service. The Spy Who Came In From the Cold, his third book, secured him a worldwide reputation. His latest novel, The Mission Song, is published by Hodder & Stoughton on 21 September 2006.
