Jon FraenkelJon Fraenkel is senior research fellow at the Pacific Institute of Advanced Studies in Development and Governance, University of the South Pacific, Suva, Fiji. His research and publications focus on the economic history of Oceania, electoral systems and contemporary Pacific politics. His academic writings have been published in the Pacific Economic Bulletin, the Journal of Pacific History, the Australian Journal of Economic History, and the Oxford Encyclopaedia of Economic History.
