Katherine Hudson is openDemocracy's development manager. She studied English Literature at Magdalen College, Oxford, where she was elected to a Demiship and awarded the Violet Vaughan Morgan prize. After graduating and spending a summer touring Japan as designer for a production of The Comedy of Errors, she attended Harvard University on a Kennedy Scholarship. While at Harvard she studied creative writing and civil war literature, among other things and sat on the editorial board of the Harvard Advocate. She also conducted a project on increasing audience diversity for the Metropolitan Opera, New York.
