One of the worlds most acclaimed war photographers Philip Jones Griffiths was born in Rhuddian, North Wales, in 1936. While studying pharmacy in Liverpool he became a part-time photographer for the Manchester Guardian, and later joined the Observer. His books include Vietnam Inc., Agent Orange: collateral damage in Vietnam, and Vietnam at Peace. He was President of Magnum Photos for a record of five years.
