Roger Deakin is a writer and film-maker with a special interest in nature and the environment. A founding director of the arts/environment charity Common Ground, and a trustee of the music/theatre string ensemble The Gogmagogs, he is the author of Waterlog, a swimmer’s journey through Britain (Vintage).
