Shaazka Beyerle

Shaazka Beyerle is Senior Advisor of the Washington-based International Center on Nonviolent Conflict. She was previously a writer, with expertise in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Until 2004, she covered the Middle East and Southern Africa for WorldView Magazine (National Peace Corps Association). She has written on people power, the Middle East, foreign affairs, culture, literature, nonfiction, and art for a wide range of publications. She also teaches and speaks about strategic nonviolent action at institutions around the world.
