Tony Judt

Tony Judt is Director of the Remarkue Professor of European Studies at New York University. His numerous honors include memberships in the American Academy of Arts & Sciences and the Royal Historical Society; fellowships from the Guggenheim and Nuffield foundations, the Stanford Humanities Center, and the Rockefeller Study Center in Bellagio, Italy. He regularly writes for the New York Review of Books and the Times Literary Supplement. His latest book is Postwar: A history of Europe since 1945 (Penguin, October 2005).
