Ali Al-Mawlawi is an Iraqi research fellow at a Baghdad-based independent think tank, the Iraqi Institute for Economic Reform. Having spent most of his life in the United Kingdom, he returned to Iraq in 2008 where he has worked on democratic reform and transparency in the oil industry.
