Jo Baker  is an independent researcher and writer, with a focus on social exclusion, conflict and gender.. She holds an MA in Human Rights Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and formerly ran a programme at the Asian Human Rights Commission in Hong Kong. Her legal study, ‘Reconciling Truth and Gender: Lessons for Sri Lanka’ features in the December 2011 issue of the Law and Society Trust Review.
