LC Russell Hsiao is senior research fellow at the Project 2049 Institute in Washington, DC. He was editor of China Brief at the Jamestown Foundation from October 2007-July 2011. He formerly worked at the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy in Taipei, and at the Heritage Foundation. He is a member of the young leaders' programme of the Honolulu-based think-tank Pacific Forum CSIS
