Manoela Miklos is a PhD Candidate in the postgraduate programme International Relations San Tiago Dantas (UNESP, UNICAMP, PUC-SP), São Paulo, Brazil. Also Professor of International Relations at the Universidade Anhembi Morumbi and teaching assistant at PUC-SP - Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Her research interests centre on cities and the "new wars", or the urban dimension of contemporary conflicts.
