About Michael Degerald

Michael Degerald recently completed an MA in Middle Eastern Studies at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Lund University. He is an Arabic linguist and wrote his thesis about Hezbollah, nationalism and post-colonialism in Lebanon. He is set to begin PhD studies at University of Washington in Seattle. His ongoing research focuses on the Levant, post-colonialism, nationalism, and state-society relations.
