Moazzam Begg was born and raised in Birmingham, England, where he now lives with his family. He is the author of Enemy Combatant: My Imprisonment at GuantÌÁnamo, Bagram, and Kandahar (New Press, 2006).

His work has been published in PN Review, the Irish Times, El Pais, the Iran Times International, the Canberra Times, the Scotsman, the New Statesman and The Absolute Game.
