The Government's plans to sell off England's forests are a disaster in the making

It is hard to imagine how the Coalition government could have dug itself so deep into the mire over the proposed forest sell-off. The Forestry Clauses should be withdrawn from the Public Bodies Bill, thus allowing Parliament itself to take decisions on the disposal of our vital national assets.
