About Steve Coll

Steve Coll has been a foreign correspondent and editor at The Washington Post since 1985. In 1987, he covered the world of corporate takeovers on Wall Street, the stock market crash, the Michael Milken investigations and the SEC as the Post's financial correspondent in New York. In 1989, he moved to New Delhi to become the post's South Asia correspondent. For three years he covered India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal. He is the author of five books and won a Pulitzer Prize for explanatory journalism about the SEC in 1990.
