50.50 is openDemocracy's section dedicated to exploring issues of gender equality and empowerment at the global level. We are committed to promoting human rights and democracy through dialogue and debate. But a global debate without the female half of humanity is neither global nor democratic. We run a series of editorial projects designed to make openDemocracy a current affairs forum which is written, read and used equally by women and men.
50.50 commissions and produces a range of articles, blogs and podcasts. We seek contributions that can argue for the equal reality, importance and democratic implication of women’s experience of the world. If you are interested in writing for us, please first consult openDemocracy's submission guidelines. Please send all documents as Word attachments to jane.gabriel [at] opendemocracy.net.
