Women transforming power?

Srilatha Batliwala was unable to join in our debate over this month, for health reasons, though she very much wanted to take part. Instead she sent us an article - Women transforming power? - to feed some of her thinking in to your discussion. I very much like the way she takes the long view so that we can see where progress must be made. I hope you’ll have a look.

Srilatha's experience, over the past 30 years, has combined grassroots activism, policy advocacy, research and teaching. You can find out more about her here.

In other news... Inge will talk tomorrow morning about why women’s rights are important in building democracy, on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Woman’s Hour’, one of the major fixtures of women focused media in the UK.

You can listen to it on their website after it has been broadcast.
