The gap between rich and poor in China is now worse than was when Communism first took them as slaves. But now they are no longer Communist, Corporate "leaders" now rule in China, which I believe is called fascism.
It's time for everyone to admit that cozying up to totalitarian states doesn't do anything but prop them up and keep their people as slaves that much longer. No Chinese has benefitted from any interaction with the west over the past 40 years of exchange except the elitists scum that keep the rest of China in bondage.
"Intellectuals" and right wing profit seekers share equal blame.

no one in china is complaining though. all these so called 'slaves' are happy to have a job.
not saying that it should be that way. what pisses me off is the fact that these foreign investors are increasing the profit margins greatly and THAT in itself aint fair.
chinese government let these big corporations in so that the local people can get work. stop them from coming in then there would be even more poverty.
who is really paying the price? US, the consumer. we are paying for things at way too high prices.
the chinese government may be getting richer but what can you do about it? just let these foreigner enter and let them get richer? whats the sense in that? even in the states, just to enter the country you need to pay a huge sum of money.
the chinese government HAS to make money from it too. any government would do the same.
i agree wholeheartedly with you to boycott big corporations. how can that be achieved when the majority of the western civilisation buys into labels and designer wear and all want the latest technologies?
cheaper brands of hardware are just not as reliable.
bottom line: they are not slaves. they get paid a wage that in their context is adequate.

some foreign investors in china have not seen as much profit as they have expected though labour is cheaper than in many western countries. this is due to other problems that ocurr when doing business in china, as well as competition from manufacturers of identical goods etc. the western firms who do business in china did not invent the conditions in the country. outside of the textile industry most chinese workers are educated and some of them work for foreign firms who pay in pounds, USD etc. so even in urban areas there is a huge gap in wages.

Thats an incorrect and silly statement. Milton Friedman, with Reagan's backing, made China (as far as international affairs are concerned) what it is today. China, like the US, has always had a terrible divide between the rich and poor. Sadly, this is getting increasingly worse, with Chinese peasants earning less than $200 annually. This is mostly due to the process which has occured in Latin America....privatisation with foreign companies. That is the cause of the decline in national wages. The best thing China can do now is to curtail the foreign investments and, like Hugo Chavez in Venezuela is doing, re-nationalise the country's services to filter the profits to the people of the Peoples Republic of China. On a last note, to call China fascist is irrelevant, even if it were true....there is no country more fascist than the one I live in - The US
