That may be a gripe of some student protesters, including the increasing cost of tuition, but it's not the goal of OWS at all. I would not support people who made such ridiculous demands either. I save for my childrens college education monthly as well, I see that as my responsibility in part. But ask yourself this question... Why is education in the US ten times more costly than education in Canadian universities? McGill students marched in protest last week over tuition being raised from $2,120 per YEAR to $3,793 over the next 5 years. McGill is a really good school. Furriners pay about 30K per year to attend, the catch is you have to earn your way in, daddy can't buy it for you.

Clearly there are choices about what tax revenue gets spent on, and this is what the conversation actually about. Not selfishness, it's about fairness.
