The G8 summit from 6-8 July is the focus of an intense week of mass protest that also encompasses a march through Edinburgh, a blockade of Faslane nuclear base, a golf-in at Gleneagles, and the LiveAid pop concerts.

The G8 Gleneagles Demo 'Another World is Possible'
6th July 2005

Assemble 12pm at Gleneagles Train Station for a march to the gates of the Gleneagles Hotel on the opening day of the G8 Summit. The Peoples' Global Action Conference 2004 in Europe called for a global day of action on - the opening day of the G8 Summit. Organised by G8 Alternatives who are expecting at least 10,000 people to assemble at 12pm midday at Gleneagles Train Station itself.

Climate Alarm Action: Friends of the Earth 'climate alarm'
7th July 2005

At 1.45pm, Friends of the Earth will set off an alarm outside the summit which should reach the delegates inside Gleneagles. People across Scotland, and the world, will sound warning bells to try to wake the G8 up to the fact that time is running out to tackle climate injustice.
