Why do people (especially Bush-fans) keep referring to the invasion of Iraq as part of the 'War on Terror'? It's not.
Saddam Hussein had no ties with Al Queda and he did not support international terrorists. I'm convinced that Tony Blair had humanitarian motives (get rid of a terrible dictator). The neoconservatives already wanted to invade Iraq before 9-11, just as the Bush administration already discussed a war on Iraq before 9-11. Clearly WMD were just a pretext.
