Last time I checked my atlas...the "world" actually consisted of more countries and states than Iraq.

I believe at different times, throughout this section, people tried to expound on how "things" could be different. Well, with a title like American Power and the World...how about some ideas-preferably productive instead of venomous-on how people would do things differently...and if you can why?

Christian was talking about his system of government, and his country is fairly small, and was touting its goodness. His country does have an openess to it, but there seems to be quite a bit of down to it. Huge tax rate, price of durable goods is excrutiating, but he likes the universal health coverage and free schooling. I liked those two ideas, but how to fund them?

I believe that my country has drastically strayed from its principles and seems to be getting way to adversarial, instead of intelligent diplomacy. Well, I have been working at my nation state at Jennifer Government that Matt provided, and its not easy. Granted its issue's are silly but, running a country is complex. Many poster have put some ideas up but then it drops off. We all have the same core that runs through all developed countries...money. So, as lofty as we all would like to sound...everyone gets by on money. That puts a kink in alot of "ideal life" type countries. Then add the differences in people's religion and how little or zealous they may be about it, and then the psychological make-up of the ruling party. (Wow, that one alone would make a really good topic)

So, Im so far a socialist nation, but I dont know how to keep my government from being to big, but protect my people's civil rights in balance...I havent worked out my foreign policy yet or trade agreements I would make. Im still stuck on two other projects in what little "down time" I have. Let's have some fun. ;)
‹ Overestimating the Jihadist threat to Democracy Reaction to terrorism is also a threat to democracy ›
