The following is a report on the latest Testimony in the Moussaoui trial: Al-Qaida conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui testified Monday that he and would-be shoe bomber Richard Reid were supposed to hijack a fifth airplane on Sept. 11, 2001, and fly it into the White House. Moussaoui's testimony on his own behalf stunned the courtroom as he disclosed details he had never revealed before. It was in stark contrast to Moussaoui's previous statements in which he said the White House attack was to come later if the United States refused to release a radical Egyptian sheik imprisoned on earlier terrorist convictions. Moussaoui testified Monday he lied to investigators when arrested in August 2001 because he wanted to let the attacks of Sept. 11 go forward. ``Yes, you can say that,'' Moussaoui said when the prosecution asked if that was why he misled them. The statement was key to the government's case that the attacks might have been averted if Moussaoui had been more cooperative following his arrest. He told the court he knew the attacks were coming some time after August 2001 and bought a radio so he could hear them unfold.

Do you actually think a "web poll" even remotely approaches a scientifically accurate opinion survey?"] I must confess that the only poll I have looked at is the CNN Quick Poll, simply because someone put a link to it. If there are any other polls on the Charlie Sheen speculation, I would like to have a look at them. As for the thoughts of Sheen on aspects of 9/11, I am not one of those that reject conspiracy theories automatically and am sufficiently mistrustful of politicians to deem them capable of almost anything. My view of leading politicians is that they are all infected with megalomania in varying degrees. I will add that I err on the side of doubting Sheen's theories although there are a number of not properly or convincingly explained occurrences in the 9/11 scenario.

Are internet users more intelligent than the average American Joe, as it appears that over 80% think that the U.S. government covered up the real events of the 9/11 attacks, according to a CNN quick poll. Perhaps the likes of alan.petersen, jayfromtexas and other opponents of conspiracy theories can explain this result. So far they have been contemptuous of those that have suspected that 9/11 was not as it appeared to be represented by the Bush administration.

From what I understand, 9/11 was a brilliantly well executed attack. The leader Muhammad Atta was a qualified architect who worked in Urban Planning and didn't like skyscrapers. The 767s that actually hit the towers had a kinetic energy more than seven times greater than the specifically modeled 707 impact. (The Boeing 747, with an empty weight more than twice that of the 767, was in the final design phase when WTC drafting began and the first 747s were constructed simultaneously with the WTC towers; however the known attributes of the 747 were apparently not modeled in designing the towers). So he ensured that he used the biggest planes, that they were as fully fueled as possible and that he was flying at maximum speed to inflict maximum damage. He also ensured that the planes were flown in at an angle to spread damage to multiple floors. Charlie Sheen just can't get over the fact that Atta was a clever bastard, a lot cleverer than Mr Sheen by the looks. Note: I believe that the 9/11 attacks were 75% Muhammed Atta and 25% al Qaeda.

thanks Matt, a link through from one of your links explains that the explosion when the plane hit the Pentagon completely destroyed it- but there was debris which proves there was a plane: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/pentagon.htm that website and the other you linked to show the same picture as proof there was a plane. http://makeashorterlink.com/?X2C3257DC I am sorry but this picture alone does not prove to me it was there. But then I wasn't there. Apperently there were loads of eyewitnesses to this plane hitting the Pentagon. I never remember seeing any of them on the telly. I only ever remember seeing people in shock over seeing the planes hit the twin towers. But then I didnt sit and devour the endless 9/11 coverage when it happened, to be honest. I might have missed the coverage of Pentagon witnesses. Anyway I don't tend to pay too much attention to this conspiracy stuff. That's enough for March. I believe some of the conspiracy theories which are thought to be laughable eventually become common historical knowledge. And also that there is very much that governments get up to that we will never know. But mostly my reason for paying so little attention is that there is so damn much on the surface, there is so much room to explore and draw conclusions with, with what is on the surface.. that it makes little sense to try and pry into what is either nonsense or a plot so determinedly put together it is unlikely one could ever prise it open. I know many people were directly touched by 9/11 and want a closer look into what happened. But really. There must now be more 'war on terror' victims on US soil than 9/11 victims. By this I mean, given over 2,000 US soldiers killed, and at least double that amount severely wounded, more families must now be touched by the foreign policy catastrophes launched, quite openly, by GWB since 9/11. Not to mention, 50-60 people are currently dying per day in Iraq. And if we are to imagine for one second that an Iraqi life is worth as much as an American life, that means 9/11 has happened many, many times over there, and continues to happen. So while conspiracy theories may or may not be true - the blatant, despicable, horror of what our governments are doing is plain to see - so perhaps it's more constructive to consider that. I saw one of those 9/11 conspiracy DVDs once. Two things struck me - I didn't know there were more than 2 towers at the WTC (apparently there were 7 buildings including the two larger main towers). The hole in the Pentagon where the plane was supposed to have struck wasn't big enough for a plane that size - and also the plane itself wasn't to be seen in the footage. Correct me or elaborate on any of this for me anyone..?

If you morons are interested, there are also some great conspiracy theories concerning Pearl Harbor. Some say that Roosevelt knew about the attack, but allowed it to happen because he needed an excuse to enter the war. Others say that Roosevelt bought Japanese planes and staged the attack himself. Certain types of minds find such thoughts captivating, so you fools should find that absolutely riveting. I love you conspiracy theory geeks. You think that current and historical international relations are more like a game of Dungeons and Dragons.

Sheen makes some interesting points. While it may seem inconceivable that a US administration would ever be involved in such a horror,there are many that have raised the same question, as to how a small group in each 'plane, armed only with box cutters, could gain such control over all the other passengers. The points he makes regarding the 'plane that crashed into the Pentagon are also significant. The old saying that truth is stranger than fiction could apply in this context.
