Yes, the reciter has a very nice voice indeed.

ps...I found your post on why Jesus was NOT God very interesting. The Islamic perspective makes more sense than this issue the catholic perspective.

Jesus never said he was God.

He also constantly referred to the ‘father that art in heaven’. So if the father in heaven is the omnipotent being who created the universe , how can he be wondering around with sandals in the middle east?

If Jesus was God and died for our sins, then God died too? How can God die?

When he was on the cross…he looked up and said “father, why have you forsaken me”? Was he really talking to himself then?

If Jesus died for our sins, then returned a few days later, where is the sacrafice?

Jesus never said he was a 'Christian'. Also the trinity was invented 300 after his death to unite the fragmented 'Christians'.

Also the reference to the ‘son of God’ was mentioned in the bible to other apostles and towards good men at that time as well, not just to Jesus. It was taken too literally. It doesn’t make sense that out of all God’s creation, he only had one son. We all are his children.

If he didn't die on a cross, but was rather buried alive for example, would the selected religious symbol of Christianity be a pile of earth?

None of this makes sense, and Christian stories got more and more embellished over time. For example…look at the Catholics…you have to confess your sins to some dude behind a wooden box. This is nothing to do with Jesus’ teachings! They also kiss crosses and other idolatry.

There are many incidences in history when the messenger were confused with the message.

Islam is the completion of both Judaism and Christianity. Muslims believe that God revealed the Torah to Moses and the Gospel to Jesus. However, over time these teachings have become lost or corrupted. God's purpose in revealing the Quran was to provide guidance in its complete and final form. Islam teaches that Judaism and Christianity both contain truth and are both based on revelation from God; however followers of these religions have mixed in man-made teachings and doctrines.

We don't! A Muslim cannot be a Muslim without believing in Jesus, in his immaculate conception within the womb of his mother, in his miracles, in the gospel (in its original and pure form) and in his complete submission to Allah's will.

Islam's point of departure from Christianity is that Muslims believe Jesus is a prophet of Allah, and not God or God's son. The Holy Quran reflects "... Christ (Son of Mary) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord...".(Quran 5:75-76).

Six Questions About Islam, Muslims and Jews

By Hassan El-Najjar and Andee Goldman

Al-Jazeerah, January 25, 2004

Andee Goldman:

Hello,

I have read a lot of books on Islam and have a few questions.

1. Is it correct when a person dies, he does not go to heaven or hell until the Day of Judgment? Where does the soul stay?

2. How is the Nation of Islam part of Islam?

3. Does Islam includes parts of the Old and New Testaments?

4. Do Muslims believe that Adam was black and Eve was tan? where did white come from?

5. Islam was started in the Middle East. Is it the major religion of Arabs?

6. Islam is supposed to respect the Jewish and Christians Books. Why are Jews hated?

Thank you very much,

Hassan El-Najjar:

1. According to Islamic teachings, accountability will be in the Day of Judgment, not before. All souls go to heavens waiting for the Day of Reckoning. Then, believers go to Paradise and non-believers go to Hell.

2. I'm not much knowledgeable about followers of the Nation of Islam in the US. However, if they profess that there is no god except Allah and Muhammed is His messenger. And if they believe in the Holy Qur'an and the Sunna (teachings) of the Prophet, as the two major sources of Islam, then they are Muslims.

3. Islam means peace. It also means surrendering one's will to God. This means the belief that only God can benefit you or can cause you harm. Islam is the religion that God taught to humans on this planet through the senior angel, Jibril (Gabriel). It was revealed to humanity in different stages when people needed guidance. Thus, the message of Islam was taught through Adam, Noah, Ibrahim (Abraham), Abraham's descendants (Ismael, Isaac, and Jacob), Moses, Jesus Christ, and Muhammed, to name the most prominent of the messengers.

Thus, the Old Testament (the Torah) and the New Testament (the Engel) are Books of Islam, too. All messengers of God are considered Muslims, and we don't differentiate among them.

However, the Holy Qur'an, the word of God in Arabic, does not include chapters or sections of the two Books. Rather, it includes the same teachings. It completes them and gives a judgment about points of disagreement between Jews and Christians. An example of that is regarding Jesus Christ. While Jews did not believe in him, Christians believe in him as the Messiah and also the son of God.

The Holy Qur'an has supported Christians in that he was the Messiah but did not support them in their belief that he was the son of God. God, Allah, was not born of anybody, has never given birth to anyone, and there is nothing like Him.

4. There is nothing in the Holy Qur'an about the colors of Adam and Eve. So, this is not an Islamic teaching.

But if you want a scientific explanation about human skin color, it's found in anthropology. Simply, this is a pigmentation the human skin develops in relation to the sun heat and the sun ultra violate rays, which cause cancer. People living on the equator (where the sun is closest to the Earth's surface) have the darkest skin color. As they move to the north and to the south, away from the equator, the need for darker skin becomes less and less, until the skin becomes fairest near the arctic circle.

5. Yes, Islam started in the Middle East, where it was preached by Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammed. The vast majority of Arabs, more than 95 percent, are Muslims. However, the vast majority of Muslims are not Arabs. They constitute more than 1.3 billion people living in all continents but concentrate in Asia and Africa, where God gave them most of the Earth's oil, which is the main target of current wars.

6. Muslims not only respect the Old Testament and the New Testament, they also believe in them. And a person cannot be a Muslim if he or she does not believe in them as the Books of God.

Muslims and non-Muslims do not hate Jews. Actually, followers of the three religions lived together for thousands of years in peace, respect, and mutual recognitions. The exception was the time of the Crusades, which represented European invasions and conquests more than religious wars.

Muslims and Jews lived together for the entire Islamic history, about 14 centuries, in tolerance, peaceful existence, and fruitful cooperation. This was the case in the early Islamic states of Umayyads and Abbasids, as well as during the eight centuries of Arab-Islamic rule of Andalusia, or Arab Spain. Jews lived as citizens of the Islamic states throughout the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, with full respect and in peaceful existence.

The change has happened when European Jews invented Zionism as a colonial and imperialist movement to dispossess the Palestinian people. Then, these Zionists started to influence Jews everywhere to immigrate to Israel to participate in the Zionist project.

Had the Israelis treated Palestinians as citizens, there would be no conflict. Instead, they evicted them from their villages and cities in 1948 and left them for 55 years in refugee camps. Moreover, they occupied the rest of Palestine in 1967 and continued the annexation of more Palestinian land.

The conflict is not religious. It is not about verses in the Holy Qur'an or verses in the Old Testament. Rather, it is about the land of Palestine and the Israeli aggression against Arabs and Muslims.

Nobody hates Genevieve Cora Fraser, Uri Avenery, Latif Douri, Yossi Sarid, Yossi Beilin, or Noam Chomski. These are all Jews. But they are brave and peace-loving Jews. They are against the Israeli aggression, which is targeting the Palestinian people. They are also against the Zionist support of the Israeli aggression. Israel, Palestine, and the whole world need more of these to counterbalance the influence of the Sharonites and their neocon supporters.

Zawa,
It is a difficult concept for many to think that Jesus was also a man, and he was speaking to men as God incarnate. The spirit of God was in Jesus and he fulfilled prophesy. Jesus has many examples of the prophesy being fulfilled. Jesus did many things to help us see who he was (God incarnate). He was acting as God directed him. He was also a human being. We are merely bodies with a spirit. The spirit of GOD was in Jesus, and Jesus was perfection.

The post of mine at the top tell us Jesus is the Christ of God. Peter says this. Peter was there. All the examples you give do not mean Jesus was not from God, or was not God in human form. You have difficulty with this, but Jesus did many things so in his words "you will believe". from above- 26"If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels."
Even the demons knew of Jesus, and he cast them out. They obeyed him. Did they obey Muhammed?
Jesus had his disciples that went on to create Christianity. THey had powers given by Jesus. How can you ignore all this????

Now to think that Muhammed was somehow better than Jesus, equal to Jesus, is once again to deny Jesus. The bible makes perfect sense to me. The examples you give do not prove that Jesus was not what he said he was. You misinterpret those meanings. You only look at the words to try to justify your own belief. I can look at them and justify mine too. If you look at Jesus as a MAN, but also in direct contact with GOD, speaking to MEN, then his words make sense. He is really what you are seeking in Muhammed.

The very simple PROOF that Muhammed is not a replacement for Jesus is the fact that Muhammed came 500 years after Jesus! This was too late for the rest of the world. Nobody cares about him except for the Arabs who were so barbaric they rejected Jesus. So you can keep Muhammed for yourself and believe him all you want, but please stop trying to kill Jesus and the rest of us that believe in Him. And it does not make sense to say peace be upon him, because he does not need us to wish peace on him- he always has peace no matter what we do. It is us who need peace. Peace be upon YOU.

Also why do you all hate the Jews so much? You are so much alike in your beliefs about Jesus and other things.

If Jesus was GOD:

If Jesus was GOD, then why in Mark 12:29 Jesus said "Here, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." The words "our God" indicate that Jesus had a higher God over him, a stronger God than him. Jesus didn't say "Your God". He said "our God" which includes Jesus as the creation of GOD.

If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 20:17 Jesus said I ascend to my God and your God? This tells us that we and Jesus have a common GOD.

If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 8:28 Jesus said "I do nothing of myself"? Can't GOD do anything he wills?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 14:28 Jesus said "My Father (GOD) is greater than I"?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in Luke 23:46 Jesus said "Father (GOD), into thy hands I commend my spirit"?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in Matthew 19:16 Jesus said "Why call me good, there is none good but One, that is GOD"?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in Matthew 26:39 Jesus begged his GOD to have mercy on him and to pass the cup to death (kill Jesus in another words) before Jesus goes through the pain of crucifixion? Also see: Jesus's crucifixion in Islam

If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 18:38 he didn't reply when he was asked about the truth?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in Matthew 24:36 Jesus told his followers that no one (including Jesus) knows when the judgment day will come, only GOD knows?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in Isiah 11:2-3 GOD had put the spirit of fearing GOD in Jesus?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 5:31 Jesus told his followers that if he (Jesus) bears witness of himself, then his record is not true?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 5:30 Jesus told his followers that he can't do a single thing of his own initiative?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 5:36-38 Jesus said that GOD had assigned him (Jesus) work and GOD is a witness on Jesus?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 5:32 Jesus told his followers that they have never seen GOD at anytime nor ever heard his voice?

If Jesus was GOD, then why did he pray to his GOD in Luke 5:16?

If Jesus was GOD, then why in Matthew 26:39 Jesus fell on his face and prayed to his GOD?

The "God" Title:

How come Christians take the "God" (theos in Greek) title literally with Jesus in Isiah 9:6 and they don't take it literally for the rest of the prophets and people who were called Gods ?

The Prophets who were called "God" in the Bible are as follows:

Prophet Moses in Exodus 7:1

The Devil in Corinthians 4:4 (the word for God in this verse is theos in Greek, the same used for Jesus that was translated as "God")

Multiple Prophets in Psalms 82:6

King David in Psalm 45:3

Note: The only unique title given to GOD in the Bible that was not given to others at all are Jehova, GOD, and GOD LORD. "God", "Most Mighty" and "Almighty One" are titles that were given to Jesus, other Prophets and to Satan himself in the Bible.

Very important note: Did you know that in the languages of Arabic and Hebrew the father of the house can be called the God of the house? Jesus was the God (father or leader) of his people and their father according to Isiah 9:6. Jesus being the leader and the king, it is normal for him to be called the father of his people (Father in Isiah 9:6), and because he is their father he automatically becomes their God. My father is my God in Arabic and Hebrew.

The "Son" Title:

How come Christians take the "God's Son" title literally with Jesus and they don't take it literally for the rest of the prophets and people who were called the Sons of God?

In John 3:16 Jesus was called God's only Begotten Son.

In Exodus 4:22 "Thus saith Jehova, Isreal is my son, even my firstborn." Isreal was called God's First Son.

In Jeremiah 31:9 "I am a father to Isreal, and Ephraim is my firstborn." Ephraim is God's First Son and First Born.

In Psalm 2:7 "... Jehova had said onto me (David), thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee." David was called God's Begotten Son.

Were Jesus's Miracle's Unique?

If Jesus is believed to be GOD because he could do miracles, he could heal leprosy, he could cause blind men to see, or raise the dead, then what about the others who performed the same miracles?

Elisha and Elijah fed a hundred people with twenty barley loaves and a few ears of corn (2 Kings 4:44).

Elisha told Naaman, who was a leper, to wash in the river Jordan (2 Kings 5:14) and he was healed. Elisha caused a blind man to see in (2 Kings 6:17,20).

Elijah and Elisha raised the dead in (1 Kings 17:22, and 2 Kings 4:34). Even Elisha's dead bones restored a dead body in (2 Kings 13:21).

Indeed Jesus had prophesied that people will worship him uselessly and will believe in doctrines not made by GOD but by men "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (Matthew 15:9)"

In Matthew 15:9 above, we see Jesus warning that Trinity (the bogus lie) will dominate, and people will take Jesus as GOD and worship him, which is a total sin according to what Jesus said !!

Allah Almighty (GOD) in the Noble Quran (The Muslims' Holy Scripture) states in Verse 5:72 "They do blaspheme who say: 'God is Christ the son of Mary.' But said Christ: 'O Children of Isreal ! worship God, my Lord and your Lord.' "

Also in Noble Verse 5:73 "They do blaspheme who say God is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One God. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them."

And also in Noble Verse 4:171 "O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of God aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of God, ..."

The Point that I am trying to prove:

Muslims believe that Prophet Jesus peace be upon him is a messenger from God. He was sent from God Almighty to deliver God's words to his people. Jesus was never God, nor ever claimed to be God. Jesus was a humble wonderful human being just like the rest of the Prophets and Messengers of God. Muslims also believe that Jesus was never crucified, nor ever died on the cross, nor ever wanted to die on the cross, nor ever was sent to earth to die on the cross (checkout this site for further proof Answering Trinity) Please read all of the links and topics that I have listed on my main page at either www.aol40.com or www.answering-christianity.com so you can learn my whole point and reasons about not believing in Christianity.

The question is who is my "Lord" - mine is Jesus, not Muhammed. If I choose Muhammed, I reject Jesus, sent from God for all.
Please read the words of Jesus, who Muslims accept supposedly. These verses settle the question of who Jesus is. He was not just another prophet as Muslims say. He was not Elijah. Are Muslims ashamed of the words of Jesus? If so He will be ashamed of you when He returns. Or are these words falsified forgeries?

Peter's Confession of Christ
Luke ch. 9
18Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, "Who do the crowds say I am?"
19They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life."

20"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
Peter answered, "The Christ of God."

21Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone. 22And he said, "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life."

23Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. 25What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self? 26If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. 27I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God."

The reward who is awaiting you is more valuable than money that are not always the cure of our troubles and sadness. If u believe in the oneness of GOD and submit to his will and witness that MOHAMMED may peace be upon him is his prophet your life will change from worse to the best. You will experience an internal peace and tranquility that is not measured by any scale.Trust me though i go to the beach , good places or even buy or do anything i love , i do not feel the same happiness when i worship GOD.One may travel to the beautiful areas and see beautiful scennery but when he returns home is like he did nothing. But we u worship God and do deeds , God reward u incesantly and store these acts till the day of judgement.

Sura (chapter) 2:82: "But those who have faith and work righteousness, they are companions of the Garden: Therein shall they abide (For ever)."
3:133: "Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous."
3:185: "Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception."
18:107: "As to those who believe and work righteous deeds, they have, for their entertainment, the Gardens of Paradise."
39:73: "And those who feared their Lord will be led to the Garden in crowds: until behold, they arrive there; its gates will be opened; and its keepers will say: 'Peace be upon you! well have ye done! enter ye here, to dwell therein'."

Indeed those who do not possess something do not feel its value and gift they are granted.

zawa-je,

I have got an even better idea.

Why don't you pay people to join your religion?

Oh no, Oh no ....

I think the Arabs have already thought of that !!

Dear Zawa-je,

Please note that posts consisting of a single link are generally not admitted in the forums. Several members have done it in in the past, and we have usually asked posters to write about the links' content so as to provide with a context which helps starting a discussion (after all, this is what these forums aim for!).

Thank you,
