1- I mean even if some are not truthful and they are rare , not in a wide scale, and they will not be punished as all the west think that all adultrers would be catched and lashes or killed. also as even those rare muslims who did adultry , as may be having girlfriend or boyfriend in hiding, but they know that is a big sin and they are ashame of themselves like lying or stealing or cheating. but the difference is in the west , it is legal and permissible and it will not consider as a shame , and of course rare of STD in muslim womens or even muslim men.

Keith_4 - I think that may be one of the best examples of careless editing on quotes that I have every seen. "Your point" became "our point" which is makes quite a difference to the sense of the quote in fact it reverses the meaning.

Abdulsaida You have just stated that some adulterers will not be exposed or confess so clearly the fact that one partner is faithful doesn't mean that they aren't exposed to STDs.

we will stay pure not because of afraid from killing, lashig , yes only afraid from God as frankly to tell you some will not keep pure and will not be killing or punished as they will not confess and that is ok and they can repent between themselves and God. Islam dont encourage even revealing these things .

1- what you mean by silly mediaeval nonsense, even if as you said some men catch nasty things from prostitutes and others, do you want us moslme women not to be virgin until marriage because some of bad men. Really your thought is mediaveal nonsense and not civilized.

2- both men and women have to be clean and faithful and not involved into any realtion before marriage, and according to islam , both are responsible in sight of God and will be punished later until they repent and not going back to adultry . Yes in western world girl friend and boyfriend may be not considered adultry , but any person even if he hates islam , has to consider it the same and I think even relegious cristians consider it as adultry. So it is not silly nonsense or may be keith you are secular with no relegion to depend on. Even though , as I think if you dont adopt any relegion , but the morals will say that for the progress of the society and keeping family both men and women have to be faithful until marriage.

yes, but these rules only ever apply to the men, so they catch nasty things from prostitutes and sodomy with their boyfriends, then giving it to the "pure virgins". It is all a lot of silly mediaeval nonsense.

The WHO doesn't collect the statistics except in countries where humanitarian agencies are also medical providers. They rely on government agencies to report statistics to them and then estimate for the general population. If a government provides health care but doesn't compile statistics or doens't do this properly then the estimates are less accurate. Some governments refuse or refused to acknowledge the problem as they considered their population were immune to the problem (the same argument you are making).

Strangely enough some of those countries China, Russia are turning out to have large problems (often leapfrogging mysteriously over those that acknowledged the problem early) and others in the middle east are only now acknowledging the scale of their problems. That is because ignoring disease prevention can allow it into an epidemic.

Your second point is true. If everyone were virgin when married and never strayed or remarried sexual diseases would be greatly reduced an we wouldn't need preventative methods. However that situation has never occurred in human history, and pretending it can will just lead to the spread of diseases through ignorance because if a person is so ignorant as to think because they are chaste that they won't get a disease they is also likely to be ignorant of ways of passing it on to their partners and children and so pose a risk to their family.

1- It is not only AiDs, there are many sexually transmitted diseases which are less life threatining as syphillus, and many others as I forget names, but these statistics are easy to be known by united nations of the world health organization . Not much secretes will remain for ever. I will not tell you that their are not aids cases among arab countries, but they are very few of men used to travel outside to specific places.

2- If u live in a muslim and arab country , you alone will agree with me. it is very clear even without study, but I read that study before and hear about it.

3- Being virgin tell marriage is not only for the husband, it is commitment towards our relegion and fearing God , and of course the culture based on this teaching. In addition as kids born will know their parents and will not live seperated and complicated and I witness one western person which I think he is psychologically ill from that his father left him when 12 years old as becasue of divorce from his mother and because different in relegion between father and mother , which later Iam convinced that it is better each partner to be of the same relegion. So imagin how will the kids will raise if they are born illegally.

Abdulsaida

There aren't any statistics from most of the muslim world on how widespread AIDs is because there is little government tracking of the disease (poor social provision and politcal decision since people such as yourself confuse propaganda with facts, to find out the facts might be a bit embarrassing). However the rates are likely to be growing as there is widespread injecting drug use in many muslim countries which are on the heroin routes. Also since AIDs is also spread by anal sex the fact that condom use is not encouraged in many countries and homosexuality needs to be hidden is another indication of a growing hidden epidemic. As in most of the world women tend to catch AIDS from their partners or husbands. Being a virgin on marriage makes no difference if your partner is not faithful, is a drug user or has a past, except of course that they get the disease but non of the fun.

1- There is no connection between democracy and that issue, also muslim countries are different, but the rule is like that in suadi arabia

2- Eg.in the country Iam living, before 4 days was the wedding of my brother and did it in a big hall, in one of a famous club and it was mixed , even all of us are muslims and of course we invites some of neughbors who are foreigners and yes we dance as a family, men and women as dabka and all invitations was to our relatives and friends which were 300 persons, of course alcohol is forbidden and also some of our releigous cousins say sorry to us as they dont like to attend mixed celebrations and we accept their apology. It is up to them and we respect their wishes. many women wear scarf and dance with their husbands, also we bring a music group and really sings palestinian songs and we have men wearing traditional palestinain clothes and dance dabka which was very nice and let us go back to our dreams of returning back to palestine. we are not so complicated, and like to enjoy, but with limits.

2- husbands were dancing with wifes and singing , and all participate, even me dance with my brother and his groom and these parties are allowed and in public and no police will come to arrest . We can choose the wright path as we know prohibition and at the same time we enjoy that historical day.

I agree with you adulksaida .Why the world to cry, Pules when applied by any State islamic sharia . Israel are accompanied As everyone knows the largest theocratic state region .butWhen applied religion become terrorists Secondly Everyone knows that Saudi Arabia banned alcohol concerts and portioning This provocative policy of the state that wants Educational son conducted on a best . Why force on Muslim women wearing the veil in a for the schools in France Is this terrorism .Let me ask you a question : Is it possible for any Christian religious person or not That forced a nun or be required to reveal her hair or reveal her body .From here can know the answer. We apply virtue and the West beckons us to sin . Religion is the amountof rights and makes you artistic beauty
Talk known and hearsay about all the prophets : if you dont have shamelessly do what do you want.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) - A Saudi Arabian judge sentenced 20 foreigners to receive lashes and spend several months in prison after convicting them of attending a party where alcohol was served and men and women danced, a newspaper reported Sunday.

The defendants were among 433 foreigners, including some 240 women, arrested by the kingdom's religious police for attending the party in Jiddah, the state-guided newspaper Okaz said. It did not identify the foreigners, give their nationalities or say when the party took place.

Judge Saud al-Boushi sentenced the 20 to prison terms of three to four months and ordered them to receive an unspecified number of lashes, the newspaper said. They have the right to appeal, it added.
