Hmm...I prefer philosophic speculation.

As a foreigner far from USA(not an alien from outer space), I believe that the contribution to the cosmic expedition made by the US must be of great contribution to the entire human civilization.

In a sense, we human, as an extremely rare substance with thought in the universe, must have sublime responsibilities to manifest and demonstrate that WE ARE WITH CONSCIOUSNESS, differing with anything else -- and this is our destiny.

Whereupon, being the superpower on the earth, USA must exert all her powers to take the humanistic civilization, the superiority of intelligence and the anthropic hopes spaceward, within the realm of possibility. By doing so, to fulfill and prove the meaning of we human beings.

The universe doesn't know what itself is, therefore here comes we human, to tell the universe what itself is.

Don't you think so?

I just finished "Dark Side of the Moon," a wonderfully-written and illuminating book, and one of the best short histories I've read. Great job.

Its an appalling thing to see Bush putting manned space missions back on the political agenda. Spending billions upon a worthless mission to the moon ranks up there with believing that God 'told' him to invade Iraq.

The man is clearly a sociopathic lunatic. Yet he's the president of the USA.

The Bush administration’s plan to extend American power into the cosmos recalls the visions and violations of the early space-exploration era, says Gerard De Groot. Read the rest of this post...
