What's the point?

Is the goal of US foreign policy to sit on as much of the world's petroleum supply as possible?

Maybe it's simply to wage an endless series of wars that allow wealth to be redistributed to major multinationals like Haliburton while inhibiting democratic accountability at home?

Is it supposed to be creating a world order supporting the free movement of capital into the coffers of major multinationals who are willing to exploit any population regardless of race or religion?

Maybe US can establish its international dominance in the area of theory. But it will meet many difficulties in reality. As chinese, I also expect democracy, human rights and freedom. however, my question is "is there a universial paradgim of democracy?" Maybe not.

Americans are so confident that they make the whole world unsafe. As everyone knows,American leads our world into an era of terrorism. In fact, this is a kind of fundmentalism itself,it is religious.

We thanks America's contribution to democracy. And we also learn from what have been proved wrong done by America.

This is a grave moment in the history of the United States and the world. The president has acknowledged that we are not winning the war in Iraq, even though he insists that we are not losing it either. If the war in Iraq were the only problem confronting the country, the situation would be grave enough. To begin with, there are the tangible costs - over 3,100 American soldiers dead, more than 25,000 casualties, and a financial price-tag which might ultimately reach $1 trillion. The "surge" or escalation ordered by George W Bush, over the objections of many military leaders, the majority in Congress and most of the US public, is likely only to cost more lives and money without producing the desired outcome.
