OK, the support of my countrymen and women is unlikely to shift those last few super-delegates Barack’s way. Still, it is oddly indicative of how popular he is around the world. He easily won the Democrats abroad caucus and his candidacy has inspired global excitement – from <a href="http://www.popmatters.com/pm/features/article/58261/out-of-africa-barack-obama-in-pan-african-music/">hard-steppin’ reggae</a> to my quiet street in sunny north-London, where a number of houses are decorated with Obama 08 posters. </p> <p> Of course, were global popularity to mean anything, I have a funny feeling that the US would have a different President right now.
