Quote of the day

Nothing is necessarily as you thought it was, and you should never believe what you're told until you've had a chance to study it for yourselves

Democracy ??? not how I see it. !!!!!

According to the latest news, Labour have won another election. The statistics also say they took 36% of the vote-----??? 36%.. that means that 64% DIDNT want labour in. THAT is a majority of the country. and we have the nerve to say we are a democratic country. The sooner we have a total overhaul of our system the better. We should have a run up, like two elections, the first to weed out the parties with NO chance then the second with only the two with the most votes. Then on the second vote SOMEONE will end up with more than 50% of the votes. (The make up of mp's would come from the first vote, so all parties would have a representation). Has anyone ever thought .. If a party won every single seat...... who would make up the opposition. This is theoretically possible. I know its highly unlikely, but it shows that our system is not by a long shot perfect.
