e-Democracy will lead to international government

The internet helps with the interchange and discussion of ideas between people regardless of nationality. This will help lay the foundation for the establishment of global democracy. Global government is inevitable and the internet helps us to feel that we all belong to the same global village and have the same rights, freedoms and laws. Once that is firmly established, then empowering global democratic institutions such as the UE, or the UN, becomes easier. Eventually, rather than being run by a unilateral US foreign policy, we will be run by a democratically elected international government with its own bricks and mortar in some relatively neutral location on the planet.

Re: e-Democracy will lead to international government
I hope that that is true. It's certainly a good outcome. Having one global government will mean that: 1. There will be no more wars. 2. We'll actually be able to hold big business to account. Plus loads more. However, what we should be saying is not that it's inevitable. That seems a rather pointless use of brain power. What we should be discussing is 'how can this come about?' Remember that international human rights have been in place since the second world war, and while this has made people feel that they should have equal rights, it has not brought about any major global political change so far. Go to www.worldcitizen.org if you're interested. Do it!

Global goverment? I don't think it is possible. We can see it on ONZ example. www.ego.wot.pl a new Internet newspaper

The Problem with Electronic voting
Hang on a second. There is a problem with electronic voting. George W Bush and his cabal used it to hijack the 2004 Presidential elections. The exit polls gave the election to Kerry. Exit polls are very accurate, and are routinely used by electoral observers to check the validity of the count. There is a large, carefully argued case that clearly shows to any but the most biased observer that Bush's election was rigged. It is summarised here: http://tinyurl.com/bxaxc So, before we can rely on electronic democracy, we have to find a way of immunising the system against the kind of cheating that has saddled the world with Resident George W Bush.
