Dear all,

Unfortunately and due to bad behaviour on the site as well as continual spamming, any comments new members will make in the first 2 days of their membership will have to be moderated by our team before appearing on the site.

This means that new members' posts will not appear as they are posted, but when they approved instead. After this period, posts should appear in the forums as usual. Should you have any questions please let me know.

Best,

Jessica

This is one of the very difficult problems of the idea as well as of the interpretation of freedom of speech and communication and of freedom at all!

Freedom is important and indispensable to make collective constraints supportable for the individuals.

Collectivity and collectiveness which do not respect individual needs and domains cannot be legitimate and can't be sustained but by draconic and undemocratic restraints.

On the other hand, to claim any individual freedom or right requires to respect the common principles and arguments the claimed freedoms and rights are based on and granted for. Otherwise the claim is not justified and actually nothing but arbitrary, reckless and abusive behaviour offending the values protected by the usurpated 'freedom ' and/or 'right'.

So, e.g. freedom of expression must allow to utter that and how much one feels provocated or even disgusted by and from certain attitudes, manners to argue or to make conclusions and decicions etc. but does not allow to offend someone personally.

It must be possible to critisize the use and abuse of historical, national, religious or corporate symbols and authorities which are not alive and not individuals but means of community promotion and control or wihich are just objects of mere idolatry.

A very important element of sustaining and granting individual freedoms and rights is mutual tolerance. And some generous sense of humour can help as well.
