Solve Running On Hot Air Again

In terms of  income today, one has to work 15 minutes, or less, to pay for a gallon of gas. During the Depression it took almost an hour's pay to buy a gallon.

Gas is only one factor in driving. Car payments, insurance and upkeep are  more and they are fixed. Spending on gas can be adjusted.
