You lose a stake in the outcome. No cause to complain about whoever wins and loses. You become one of the sheeple led by whomever is elected with or without your consent. Is that really what you want?

Well the current candidates don't really represent what I want so I really feel that by democrats and republicans erecting those 3 for candidates they have already turned me into one of the sheeple.
Well the current candidates don't really represent what I want...
Me either. :-(
But for me, it's not about electing the lesser of evils because I honestly don't believe any are evil, but finding the candidate with whom I share the closest degree of consensus on the issues most important to me.
I see McCain as my 80% solution. I can agree with him 80% of the time though I personally dislike him, while I agree with Clinton 10% and Obama 5% of their policies.
I'm not happy, but I'll take the 80% solution and leverage congressional candidates for the rest. We live in an imperfect world with imperfect, flawed voters and leaders to match. Democracy is messy and the only thing worse is everything else, right?
