Cheerful, Semi-Apocalyptic Look at Things to Come

A summary of Michael Ventura's Musings

http://hopedance.org/new/issues/58/article8.html

In these blood-soaked, declining years of the American Empire, much of the US seems to live in a collective SUV of the soul, sucking up the last reserves of the planet's energy while making road kill of whatever crosses our path. As a nation, we have sacrificed our integrity, security, and liberty on the altar of the Great God Oil.

Alan,

Hold on there Tennessee.  I actually happen to like Michael Ventura (the author of the article here).  He is a satirist instead of the usual conspiracy theorists that Solve generally links to.  Unfortunately, the link is dead.

How does Solve find his links?  Does he have a website that posts every single apparently anti-American article on the internet?  Solve obviously doesn't read the articles first, and his only apparent method of judging what to post is that of the most attractive I-hate-America soundbite offered in the title.

I tried to track down the

I tried to track down the article that Solve attempted to link to, and found it--dated September of 2005, which is apparently the year when Roger began adding PCP to his magic mushrooms and has become trapped in time--and found it on a site called "Godlike Productions", which has as a subtitle "UFOs, Conspiracy Theorists, Lunatic Fringe".  The person who posted it there was coincidentally from Switzerland, and goes by the screen name "Anonymous Coward".

Sorry Jason.  But I refuse to

Sorry Jason.  But I refuse to read his links. I used to. But the vast majority were so over-the-top stupid, I quit. There may be a gem or two, but it would be like sifting through fifty pounds of pig shit to find an undigested grain of corn. Feel free to sift, if you wish.

You know most of the time

You know most of the time when I read Jay's posts I feel like I'm looking at a list of Solve threads on the forum page. The difference is I feel like I have a pretty good idea what's bothering Solve but  I have no idea what Jay's problem is.

You have to make allowances - he is from Texas.

I was going to delete this as more "roger-spam" but the comments kept coming.  Now I have to leave it, if only for the entertainment value.
