Liam Fox & the 'Medal Of Honor'

Liam Fox, the current British Defense Secretary, appears to be having a bit of a hissy fit over a new videogame entitled ‘Medal Of Honor’, and is calling on U.K retailers to refuse to stock it. No doubt the minister’s censorious intervention will have completely the opposite affect, and sale’s of the game will go through the roof. According to Fox, this game is ‘shocking’, ‘un-British’, and just plain ‘tasteless’.

The game is set in present day Afghanistan, and it is this what seems to be rubbing the minister up the wrong way, including the fact that players can actually choose to play the role of a Taliban fighter did not help matters either. The minister’s intervention is bizarre to say the least, and one would think the minister would have far more important things on his mind, like the proposed huge spending cuts at the MoD – and the current aimless military campaign in Afghanistan.
