Pak - Russian nuclear cooperation

 

Pakistan and Russia should agree on a bilateral mechanism to explore prospects of cooperation in nuclear field, education and exchange of information on nuclear safety and related issues. The two countries are now cooperating in many fields including counter terrorism, economic development,  combating drug trafficking and strategic stability in South Asia.
On the political front, Topychkanov observed that the Russian President Mr. Dmitry Gennadyevich Medvedev had attempted to reset the Russian-Pak relations. On September 21, 2010, an intergovernmental commission was established to deal with fostering cooperation in trade, economic, scientific and cultural fields.
