The debate is nothing but a smokescreen?  If that's what Thierry Meyssan believes, then he is either ignorant or an idiot.

There is no doubt Iran is enriching uranium.  The question is to what end.  Meyssan asserts it is for civilian use, but that requires a leap of faith about Iranian intentions...which are far from clear.  But the UN seems to have no doubt of Iranian intentions, even if Meyssan does.

Mohamed ElBaradei, the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency told the BBC this week that Iran wants to "send a message" to its neighbors and the rest of the world: "Don't mess" with Iran and "we can have nuclear weapons if we want to."
