The history of Rome was a society like no other. We are all part of the Roman conflict. Some how during the fall of Rome, every one of us in the great world of our survived the fall of Rome, the 700 years of complete destruction of society, infrastructures, library's from 2000 years of history and we all were either part of the rise of Christianity, survived Paganism in some parts of the world or became part of the last religion that followed in fear of Christianity, Islam. Although many great people have been part of the Islamic history, the greatest portion of Islam that still survives today is the reason it was established, to counter the fear of Christianity during the fall of the Roman empire in the East. Islam took 2000 years of history and destroyed it and has yet to advance its own people out of the dark ages and uses this as a motivation for destruction of Christianity. As Christianity moved forward in the West, Islam slowly declined until all it had left was to fight for land and take over Christianity and its money, power and strong following of Christians world wide. The history of Rome ended at the beginning of the rise of Islam and Christianity. Both religions believe in God therefore every soul believing in God has the possibility of being saved. The error in judgement is not on the people but on the false prophet. I have read about how a false prophet will rise and millions will follow this great leader. They will truly believe he is the leader or prophet of his people. Because Islam use's Sex to gain young mens souls to die for God, Because Islam use's fighting to convert instead of love and because Islam has a leader without a face because of the fear of looking into the eye's of a false prophet or that the man was just a man who used the poor people of the day to motivate them to steal the riches of Christianity and the fall of Rome. The false prophet is Islam and the leader of Islam. The Billions that follow the war, the 72 women that will be at the end of young men's suicide deaths is so easy to see it is false. Everyone I have ever talked to has admitted it can not be. So if it can't be that millions will die for a lie then how can the religion that believes illiteracy and only knowledge of the Koran is a good thing. How can Women be bound to home and hide be a blessing of God. Because of his own inability to control him self, covering women helped him succeed to be a better person. I have met many good Muslims yet never have I met a Muslim that truly has seen the light of day or the blessings of God.

This is a bunch of people all trashing the government when they don't have any realistic alternatives to what is actually happening. Fact: Muslim men are blowing themselves up in public places to kill civilians. Fact: Islam strictly forbids the killing of civilians whether they are muslim or not. Fact: I nor you nor anyone else can live a decent life without security from being murdered. How do we stop it? Do we send birthday presents to terrorists to show we care? Do we pay whatever ransom they want? The U.S. is complicit in terrorism because we let the Wahabis go this long without opposition.

This 'Open democracy' site needs to get real and wake up to the fact that 9/11 was in inside job (or at the very least the govt. was complicit). Considering the amount of evidence for this, I'm still constantly surpised at the number of people who still believe all that '1984-style' propoganda the Whitehouse/'Independant' media constantly excrete. "Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have" - Richard Salant, former President of CBS News. "The truth is so often the reverse of what has been told us by our culture that we cannot turn our heads far enough around to see it." - Howard Zinn.

It is very important the Syria’s cynical evocation of the Security Council’s authority to uphold the legitimacy of international rule of law not become the bane of the U.N.’s legitimacy and continued relevance. These days we see many abuses of privileges: Bob Novack is abusing the 1st Amendment to perpetrate lies and cover up for potential criminal action in the Spygate affair; Kobi Bryant’s accuser may get unwarranted favored treatment from a law designed to protect victims; Syria is abusing the Security Council and the notion of sovereign immunity to protect the states’ right to harbor and perpetuate terror; we see Islamists abusing the freedom of religion to create 5th column units within non-Muslim countries, including our own; and we have an semi-legitimate administration that is abusing the travesty of 9/11 to promote an extremist right-wing agenda, which is perhaps the most despicable kind of abuse for which there are few, if any, justifications or excuses.

HOW POLITICS WORKS (This little, tiny story is part of a series, in which I explain to my little daughter how things work.) Politics works like this: Big People of Big Country buy Big People of Little Country, who, by the way, will be elected in "democratic elections" thanks to big bucks; Big People of Big Country give big loans to Little Country (of course, to buy "made in Big Country"); Big People of Little Country pocket a big chunk and invest it in the Big Country, without ever investing in real development (education, health, the environment, etc); Little People of Little Country work for ever to pay back what they never got; Big People of Little Country thank Big People of Big Country in the name of Little Country, and promise to repay the big debt; and Little People of Little Country get big promises, just like Little People of Big Country. And they lived happily ever after...

i will not condone the acts of 9-11 in any way, shape or form. I know that they were an act of terrible inhumanity that I can hardly come to terms with, and nooone calling themselves human (or humane) could think different. But that is not to say they achieved nothing. It achieved 2 things, one benefiting the US and the other benefiting the middle east. Al Quaeda (along with the rest of the middle east) has long known that injustices and wars there go unreported in the western world, where much of these factors stem from. Beyond reaching out to attack "the enemy on his home turf", the attacks were to bring the media focus onto the area, bring the plight of millions to the forefront. Previous attacks on commercial, then diplomatic infrastructure overseas brought little media coverage, so an escalation was probably inevitable.

There is no cure for jealousy. Sharing and recognizing anothers needs goes a long way to help though. An enemy that is "not created in the first place" is an enemy one need not fight. Our (US) policies create far too many enemies! Perhaps its time to treat others as we would have them treat us. "ask - how would we like them meddling in our affairs?" the answer to 911 perhaps?
