How popular is this hair phenomonon around the world? I believe it originated in the States.... Thoughts?

My name says alot. longbrloks. I have long hair yes. It has almost always been long. To my buttocks. Some may say it is dated. Herd it all before.. Long hair on men in an Indian tribe does not say a person is gay thank you! Nor are women who are atracted to men with long hair! Great article. Brings back memories. I, however, disagree that black hair is no longer political. I am an academic and wear locks. People are stunned that I do not straighten my hair. Black hair is apparently still considered a threat. I recognise the reaction highlighted in the section where the girl is sent home for wearing her own hair.
