government structures

Posts:

I would like to see the opinion of people of what they think about the systems like the village government, the university structure, the police, the armed forces, the system of judges etc. The governing structure according to me should not be taking for granted, but debated constantly and modified to fit. One of the things that I would like people to think is abolishing the centralized armed forces and having people serving four hours a week as a combination of military and civil duty, something like taxes in kind. This will have the benefit that we will be sure that everybody contributes to common good, that in case of need everybody is trained to defend the community and lastly the armed forces will be not used to kill other folks just because they can and some president or whatever said so.
