Identity crises
A few days ago, I've read that the individuals behind the recent attacks in London are actually UK-citizens (although of foreign origin).
This suggests that what should be focused on, to understand this event, are not any presumed 'political demands' behind these killings, but the psychological state of some immigrant youth in Europe. Some of them seem to be dealing with severe identity crises.

British born and educated Muslim youths suffer from Identity Crise. I blame the British education system who deprive them of their culture and languages. British society is a home of institutional racism. Bilingual Muslim children need state funded Muslim community schools. They need bilingual Muslim teachers as role models.

It is precisely this introverted attitude which creates the problem.
British born and educated Muslims are; British first, English, Scots, Welsh or Ulster men second, and Yorkshire men, Lancastrians or whatever third.
Isn't that enough choices to avoid an 'identity crisis'?
If you need someone to blame for depriving Muslim youths (presumably of both sexes?) of their culture and languages, look no further than their parents. They must have thought Britain the best place to raise their children?
I think the parents were right. However, I would be interested to hear of a better, and more tolerant, place?

Better and more tolerant places? How about
Pakistan? Somalia, Bangladesh, Eritrea, Indonesia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Yemen? Our intolerance, bigotry and poor standards of living will eventually send our "hard earned immigrants" back.
