Quote of the day

The sudden assertion of human criteria within a dehumanising framework of political manipulation can be like a flash of lightning illuminating a dark landscape

Is peace possible with Pakistan

The recent events that took place in the Sub-Continent in terms of peace, the trust bestowed on Pakistan, the betrayal in Delhi blast make one wonder if peace is the priority now? We do not make peace with a mischief monger who does not have honest commitment to peace. Pakistan looks at peace as a means to achieve what it could not achieve through war. The real estate called Kashmir. The blast in Delhi, masterminded by the terrorists ( I refuse to call them Militants, a term that is endearing to the writers with motives), funded by ISI an establishment of Pakistani machinery. The terrorists who hijacked the plane from Nepal and in the process killed a newly wed Indian live in Pakistan with the complicity of the rulers. The maniac who directed planes to crash into the towers lives in Pakistan. The drug smuggling terrorist Dawood is in Pakistan. Now what kind of evidence does India want? If the intentions of Pakistan are clean they should have thrown out these criminal elements out, if not hand them over to India. On the one hand they give asylum to these hate mongers and on the other hand they talk of peace. The truth is Pakistan is using the peace process to further their agenda to create havoc in India and tire it out. Should we play into their hand? I do not want peace. Let us have a referendum in India as to what should be done to Kashmir and at what cost. Let the will of the people be followed. If Kashmir should separate, the rest of India should evaluate the future. A lesson that Kashmir teaches is what the majority does to minority should the majority be Muslims. One should see where the minorities of Kashmir are now and in what condition. What is the condition of the Non-Muslim minorities in Pakistan, Iran, Saudi, Malaysia, Egypt and other Muslim countries. Though the conditions may vary the bottom line is, muslims are given preferred treatment. Do we love the way we live today? Do we want to become slaves in our own land? Do we want to divide ourselves again? I am sick of the Indian press replete with pseudo intellects talking peace with Pakistan. I am tired of the wimps who tell the nation that 'terrorism will not win'. It just kills. I am pleased to note that the killing of Indians is a win against terrorism. What a perverse idea? Please go and tell the family who lost their loved ones in the senseless blast. The terrorists have a clear goal. Destabilize India till there is no India and you will be left with rhetorics only. The wishy washy politicians will still be parroting well meaning words that would achieve nothing for India. How can NDTV light a lamp for peace when you know peace with Pakistan is a mirage? It only appears that all the reporters are filing theirs with an eye on a possible award. As if the Kashmir is the only thing that matters. I do not want peace with Pakistan. I do not think it is possible to make peace with any Islamic country that puts religion over secularism, Muslims over non-Muslims. I defend Democracy and Pluralism and have to oppose Islamic ideology.
