SUBJECT: OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT PUTIN OF RUSSIA
Dear President Putin,Your Excellency,
In your speech on May 9th of this year, you said:
"The problem of low birth rates cannot be resolved without a change in the attitude of our society towards the issue of family and family values."
Your concern about the decline in the population of the Russian Federation is well placed. At this rate, it will not be long until the current population of your country of 150 million declines to 100 million. This would weaken Russia and please the geo-political rivals of your great country no end. In the service of your noble people, you are dutifully working on policies to halt the decline.
But perhaps you would like not just to halt the decline, but for the population of the brave Russian people to grow to 200 million or even 250 million or more. This would create great anxiety in the heart of America. The outspoken Vice-President Cheney might possibly hesitate to aggressively criticize Russia, as he has recently done. Eastern Europeans and former Soviet Republics would hesitate in their headlong rush to join the West (this is more likely than Mr. Cheney speaking in gentler tones.)
If I might humbly suggest, with all due respect and no intention to slight or be disrespectful, the way to foster a solid population growth is to help your people shed their degenerate European attitudes and adopt Muslim values such as self-discipline, the protection of women from exploitation as sex objects and the attaching of great importance to the family and everything that makes it strong and functional.
Such an approach would make the great Russian people even greater. If you would like to solidify this solution and increase its chances of success, and especially if you would like to drive the Americans to distraction, then, as the illustrious ruler of All the Russias, you might consider converting to Islam yourself, as an example to your people. Many would follow you and the future greatness of Russia would be assured. Furthermore, you would be guaranteed a place in paradise. (Even if you do not believe it exists, I respectfully submit that you cannot be sure). Also your place in history would be guaranteed, as with the Roman Emperor Constantine who converted to Christianity.

I knew you were not serious. However, had you been serious, how much would you have had in mind to bet, and in what currency? Also, what odds would you have given? Just out of curiosity, since gambling is forbiden in Islam.

I don't generally bet. If I were serious and wasn't just using the phrase "I wouldn't bet on it" in a casual way then ... I don't know. If you're letter had been serious too, there may have been some chance of a response; I suppose then odds of something similar to a serious lottery win may be about the chance of getting a reply. Of course he may have a sense of humour and respond in kind. If the odds were good enough then they could affect the outcome; he might get a friend to take me up on the bet then reply. I could lose a fortune. They may see it as a good way to stimulate the Russian economy. It may be a good way to get him reading this website and actually believing in democracy. Hmm ... perhaps it is a good idea.

Muslims have been crushed enough over the last century and half. But the world is changing and this kind of cruelty will become ever more difficult and costly.
Besides, it is not a question of Muslims being disloyal to Russia: if anything it is a matter of Russia being disloyal to Muslims.
Also, Muslims will always be trouble-making - to the best of their ability - as long as there is injustice and oppression against them.

most oppression and cruelty in the world is done BY moslems. The Christian Russians do not :-
mutilate the genitals of girls.
chop off heads
stone people to death
murder for "apostasy"
crash planes into tall buildings.
slaughter children in school (Beslan)
kill women for being teachers and doctors.
kill relations for "honour"
and so on.

These lies and distortions have already been debunked.
This kind of malicious propaganda has a specific aim: it helps uninformed, narrow minded and chauvinistic red-neck Westeners to accept or even support aggression and cruelty against Muslims.
Not surprisingly, you glibly omit any mention of the unspeakable horrors perpetrated by Christian Europeans. For your information, hundreds of millions perceive Europe to have spawned the most vicious and ruthless mass-killers since the Mongols. (Killing Tasmanians, cutting up their bodies and selling it as dog meat is but one minor example.)
More important are facts on the ground: the Russians not only will not antagonize Muslims, but are today carefully courting the Muslim World and making gains at the expense of the West. For example they are giving Iran political cover for nuclear development and selling them a new nuclear reactor. They are also supplying Iran with advanced weapons to attack Western maritime oil shipping in the Gulf and the Straights of Hormuz, if ever such action becomes necessary. (I hope nobody ends up freezing in the dark). The Chinese are spreading their largesse among Muslims in Africa and elsewhere. They also protect North Korea thus maintaining a hostile front and a dangerous and growing threat to Western influence in Asia, while making sympathetic noises. All this is part of a patient, deliberate and astute Russian-Chinese plan to hem in and diminish the power and influence of the Anglo-Axis. Russia and China probably appreciate the help of individuals from the Anglo-Axis who support their plans by increasing hostility between Muslims and the West through lies and vilification.

You are happy to see civil war among others and are even gloating about it. Is that a Christian thing?
All war is tragic and civil war especially so. But civil wars do happen from time to time. As a Muslim, I am not happy when I think of the terrible toll of the American civil war. The Spanish civil war was a brutal tragedy, as was the terrible bloodshed between Red and white Russians. I am not pleased or titilated b the memory of the many British civil conflicts, Cromwell, Bonnie Prince Charlie, the Wars of the Roses and many others. I certainly do not gloat as you do about the terrible suffering and misfortune of others. We do not appreciate it and are taught that the right thing to do I try to make peace between the parties. But then I am a Muslim. Does Christianity not teach something similar?

oh give me a break cherif. Which civil war of muslims are you referring to? Is it the civil war erupting in iraq? Is that really a civil war? Where do the syrians and iranians fit into the iraqi civil war? Correct me if im wrong but isnt this all over who would get to be caliph? Could be wrong on that! Dont really care. Is it the civil war about to occur between the palestinians? Is it among the poor african nations where thousands die daily? What is the common denominator?....Muslims! I could expound but why bother.
The american civil war that pitted americans against americans, brother against brother, was to free the slaves. A noble and righteous reason to fight a war, if there had to be a war. Why again is it that muslims are killing muslims by the hundreds of thousands? Ponder that about the religion of peace under ollie to see if you can come up with any explanations. Seems to me that current day muslims are emulating your prophets ways!
Now do your muslim thing and point fingers at the US and Israel, or anyone else that muslims can pass the blame onto for their behavior. Its ALWAYS somebody elses fault when muslims act like animals, lol! Just turn on the news, any world news, to prove my point.
