Re: Who will speak for me?

Posts:

"I would prefer the likes of Hizb-ut-Tahrir to talk about and tell me its strategies for dealing with the many forms of malaise that afflict our Muslim communities" --- Huda Jawad has prescribed what she would like her local Muslim groups to talk about. And she wonders who will speak for her. The problems is she's putting the responsibility for her destiny in the hands of others. . What kind of contract can she realistically expect? Someone else will first take care of himself and then do just enough for her to keep her loyalty. The result is she will get just the amount of abuse that she will tolerate. It appears like a problem without a solution - people need leaders to organize the society. It appears each person taking resonsibility would be anarchy. But that is not the case at all. We need leaders for certain things, and those things should be absolutely minimized, but for those things the people must take responsibility for ensuring that they get them.
