About Juliet Mitchell

Juliet Mitchell is professor of psychoanalysis and gender studies at Jesus College, Cambridge University. She is the author of several influential studies of the relations between psychoanalysis, gender and culture, including Psychoanalysis and Feminism (1974), Women: The Longest Revolution (1984), Men and Medusa: Reclaiming Hysteria and the Sibling Relationship for the Human Condition (2000), and Siblings: Sex and Violence (2003). She is a member of the British and the International Psychoanalytical Societies.
