In the early 90s, after dissolution of COMECON and the Warsaw Pact still then existent Soviet Union suggested symmetrical dissolution of their west equivalents - EEC and NATO. Political successor of Soviet Union, that is Russian Federation, repeatedly kept up those suggestions by mouth of her diplomats, always under the same pretext of the end of the cold war, which should lead to symmetrical liquidation of its relics. She herself still took care of retaining other relics of that war, namely, nuclear warheads for rockets of all ranges. Therefore I'd suggest that the Wise Men from Kremlin - in uniforms and in civilian dresses - would want to liquidate them, under the same pretext of the Cold War ending, too! Andrzej Gliwinski
