Western culture is needed by all nations
The people of Hong Kong are relatively civilized than othet Chinese. Why, because British ruled Hong Kong for one hundred years. But in China, some Beijingese once made demonstration for freedom and democracy, but after China State Security Ministry taught them how to defeat western countries and how to rejuvenate China, they become nationalists and began to study the cruel methods to torture people and began to hate democracy and freedom and began to support Al-Queda and Bin Laden and began to make all efforts to plan how to make terrorism attacks on the United States and Europe. So, if western countries want to and have to spread democracy and freedom, it is necessary to make China become colonies like Hong Kong from 1897-1997 to be ruled by western countries. If Chinese are civilized, other people of the world will be easily civilized.

Re: Western culture is needed by all nations
Great Idea!!! Let's invade China.
For the sake of the argument, let's just assume for the moment that China doesn't posses a strategic (that means nuclear) deterent.
China has a population that is greater than ALL white people on the globe combined. The glorious west can't even pacify 20 million Iraqis.
I have a habbit of not catching others irony and taking them serious where they are kidding. Please tell me this is once again the case.
Re: Western culture is needed by all nations
As you can see, the response to your post sarcastically suggesting an invasion of China, was a rather cynical view on your post. Democracies are not benign do gooders. Democracy is what the rich suffer gladly because it best suits their ends. But China, unlike Hong Kong, seems to have found a way for the rich to get richer keeping the poor on the job and of little drain on their profits. The political system of democracy is really the side-effect of an economic balance between all the interests. It is not a natural order, as the carnivores were never voted their eaters by the herbivores, nor the latter by all the plants. It is based on the development of a symbiosis between power and the masses. That balance is kept in the middle by the middle class lawyers and police officers. It manages to settle on a limit to its avarice, not needing the endless growth ambition of the predatory captains of industry. In sum, democracy may well be a fluke kept going by the fact that enough people in it say that they will settle for peace and security at the cost of only getting economically as much as they have. But the predators and prey are still given an arena in which to fight on, even if it has to be within the tolerated crime space. That may be all a weird balance to replace the days of the dinosaurs. But, had a large meteor not hit the earth, the dinosaurs would still be dominant eating eachother. A reset button was pressed from outerspace to bring us back to smaller animals with bigger brains. Like "democracy" it may seem like intelligent design, but it may really be an epiphenomenon that even GW Bush with all his "transformed" armies, following all of Fukuyama's and the neocons' advice, cannot reproduce where it does not exist.

Re: Western culture is needed by all nations
The aspects of Western Culture that are needed by all nations are respect for the individual, self rule, and liberty.
These values need not be permanently identified with Western culture and more than gun powder is considered Chinese. Great ideas transcend their cultural birth place.
