Quote of the day

The sudden assertion of human criteria within a dehumanising framework of political manipulation can be like a flash of lightning illuminating a dark landscape

WMD was only legal way to war

WMD was the only way that the UN obligation for a "Threat to Peace and Security" could be fulfilled. Just wanting to change the regime (in itself very legitimate) is not allowed under the non-intervention rules of the international legal system. So therefore they went on the UN/WMD-tour to war. It would have been better if the UK and USA had really prepared the country for democracy. They chose however to ignore things like the formed government in exile (by all the opposition groups) and wait till the 'Iraqi street' talked.... well it has rather violently.

Thanks TCC: There was NEVER a legal way to violate the sovereign borders of another nation-not even with the corrupt UN in the mix. There can be no resolution of the situation in Iraq UNTIL Kofi Annan, this wonna be crook, is removed as Secretary General of the United Nations. The United Nations was NEVER to be operated by a petty thief. That is what we have at the moment, a petty thief masquerading as an international executive. 'Regime change' is legitimate? That would have a whole host of consequences, especially for the U.S. A wonderful precedent, right? Musharaff is overthrown; so is Sharon. And (insert name of Taiwanese leader here). And it's all okay. Sorry for my sarcasm. But would we accept this? I don't think we would.
